It's my turn and I need Help

Question 1)

325i or the 328i. I was told that the 2007MY will be 328i and no one seems to have the pricing. What do you guys think ?

2) Options to pick.

This is what I have

Steptronic
Comfort Access
Power Seats
BMW Assist and
Sat. Prep.

I have driven stick all my life, I prefer driving a stick, but am worried about the resale value and finding a girl who can drive stick, but thats another story in itself.

With 30g's, enough miles to do an ED what would you guys pick. I am seriously considering taking out the steptronic and adding ZSP.

Suggestions people, I am confused.

Take out the steptronic, and possibly the comfort access. There have been problems with both of these.

30 G's wont get you either one. What is the hp rating of the 328i? what is the projected price of 328i? Price of 325 may drop just before 328 comes making it a deal, but may not (E46 330's were selling for around the same as e90 325's when i bought the 325).

Steptronic: very useful if you ever figure that someone else who doesn't drive stick may drive the car. Both are 6 gears. Step is pretty good for a step, but in terms of driving excitement, you can't beat a MT. ZSP is a must everyone says. I dont' have it, but I'm making my own by dropping it and aftermarket wheels. Changing the seats and steering wheel aren't very easy though.

Answer #1: Almost for sure 328i will replace 325i sedan for MY07 starting September 06 production so wait for 328 (price and official anouncement will come very close to Sept to protect current 325/330 sales).

Answer #2: I will never give up the 6spdmt but read some of the new reviews about the new step that is in the coupe. It sounds really good as far as autos go and may end up in the new sedans also.
I would recommend sports pkg, the seats are worth it alone (go try them out yourself).
There have been concerns with CA working smoothly all the time (search the forum on this topic)

Those are just my opinions and I actually have never owned a BMW yet but I will have mine by October!!

Do not give up the CA despite what you may read on here. You'll end up regretting it and you can't retro-fit it.

Thanks guys for the quick replies.

I am not sure about the 328i's HP ratings or for that matter even if it will be THE model for MY2007. The dealer things that there is a chance.

In addition, I have a dealer quoting me $800 over invoice on ED. What do you guys think of that ?

$800 over invoice, with no training or MACC fees, is a very very good deal.

In Wisconsin, I should add, that's a fair deal. Most dealers won't go below $1000 over Inv. here, and tell you training and MACC (advertising) are non-negotiable.

i have a feeling the 328 base will be more then the 325. considering it'll prolly have more hp.

and obviously since they are almost out. you will get the 325 for cheaper (dealers will give you more off).

cars will prolly be virtually the same. i would go for the 325 if you don't care about the model # of your car. cause after this year, 325 330 will be outdated technically :/
