Where are the U.S. East Coast VPCs?
Just wondering if anyone knew how many VPC's BMWNA has in the U.S. With respect to cars arriving in Charleston, do they have a SC VPC near their Performance Del. Ctr or their Spartanburg plant, or . . .. ? Mine is arriving on a non-W&W boat called the Ingolstadt owned by Wilmington Shipping Co. on July 25. Dealer said he thinks it could be ready for pickup by the 29th or 30th (would be awesome to have it for that weekend), but that seems pretty fast based on others' comments. It also seems the Chas. cars seem to get processed faster than the NYC/NJ cars. Thoughts?

The VPC's on the East Coast are in New Jersey and South Carolina. I don't know the exact ports but those are the entry points. Execution

I know the ports - I mean the actual centers. Are they near those ports or are they somewhere else inland. Thx.

You are right. The port is in Charleston Harbor. My office overlooks it
so I see literaly thousands of BMWs a week coming in or out. The autos go to Spartanburg from here and from there to the dealers. |

The ports have tighter security than most government bldgs these days. When they open for the trains to get out, there are
about 4 security vehicles guarding the gates. No chance of vehicles getting lost, but it looks like a fun job. The drive on or off the ships is definitely not done at slow speeds. I've seen crashes and some burn outs so they are certainly getting some job satisfaction... |

The dock is on the corner of Laurens and Columbia St but it has 10'
fence around it with fabric on it so you can't see in. Barbed wire around the top, so you won't be able to see anything. The Spartanburg stop is worth your time. |

Would that include the actual "tour" of the factory?
