Tire Choices for 1/4mile

Hey Guys,

I am wondering which set-up to go with for 1/4 mile...

I currently am running for the street some beat up Kumho ASX 255/35/18 with BBS Ch's.

My Cuz has some Stock Dunlop Sp's RFT for his sport 545wheels i believe they are 275/40/18.

So My question is should I use the lighter rim with shot tires, or heavier wider rim?

Thanks!

the less rotational mass/lightest wheel you can find!

bro i would check out those Kosie's K1 for the track

Guys, Im thinkin about this for Sat. Tires with wider tread more weight, or Lighter with no tread + (All-season tires)?

Thanks!

difference from lack of void area is marginal compared to changing to a tire made from a stickier compound . all you are doing with that approach is screwing yourself if it rains on the way home

I had no problem with grip using OEM sport 545 wheels! 13.5 @ 104MPH
