So what's the secret to finding a manual transmission??

I can't believe how difficult it is to find a manual transmission 3 series these days. I'm looking for either a 2005 ZHP sedan; 2006 330i sport, or 2009 328i sport with a 6 speed.

Does anybody have any hints about how to find manual transmission cars? I live in the Bay Area of CA, and would like to pull the trigger on a new car before the taxes go up in April.

Where are all the manual transmission cars???

Manuals are IMPOSSIBLE to find in California, my CA said they order less than 3 a year at their dealership.

Just order one

The wait is painful, but will be worth it!

+1! I couldn't even find a 6 speed to test drive before I got my car. It was worth the wait though.

you really cant find what you want used. i just bought a used 335 because i couldnt afford a new one. if you can afford it then buy a new one that way you get what you want. i got the 6MT but i had to give up the grey interior and nav. i got a black interior car without nav, and this is waiting for over a year to find a used one with stick that i wanted.

I got somewhat lucky but I'm on the east coast. I told my CA which options I wanted. He found an exact match that was already on a cargo ship headed for NJ. The only difference was that I swapped bluetooth for the ipod connection (couldn't care less). They re-routed the car to my dealership and I only had to wait a few weeks to get it. Best of luck!

AND DO NOT SETTLE FOR AUTO! You will regret it!

6MT and sport...the rest is negotiable.

If I were to order...maybe...it'd be:
Alpine White (cheaper)
Premium with Chestnut
the new ZMP package
Xenons
Navigation
Fold down rear seats (I throw my bike in back on a regular basis)
