Tricky question on OEM suspension
You guys all know how on standard OEM suspension the car sits slightly higher on the driver side. This was the case with my msport E36, same with mine non zsp E90.
It's barely noticable but it's there, and BMW confirms it's for a reason. Now my question is - is there something particular about their shocks-springs OR it's somewhere else. In other words, when getting aftermarket shock-spring combo, is the car still bit jacked up on driver's side or not? And if not, is that good or bad since you ignoring some bit BMW intended to be there... OR this only matters a tiny bit on race track.

my car sits a 1/4 inch higher on the drivers side. Probably so that car levels out with the driver. But it shouldn't matter really, because everyone has a different weight, so it's going to sit differently depending on the driver. I would not worry about this.

im not worried, just curious if it sits like that because of shocks-springs that OEM uses or whethere it's something different in the car's geometry, but judging by lack of responses it's probable that noone really even thought about this...

As said above, it's common to all BMWs and is there to ensure the car is level with the driver in place. Shame for us who have the drivers side on the right!!! Have lowered two of my BMWs and both still sit lower on the left, much to my disappointment. Solution...Coilovers!
