Yes, the new Z4 is at the Dallas Autoshow!

It looks as good in person as it does in the photos!

alright alright.

I only had my iphone on me, so i didn't take too many photos.

Needless to say, I didn't spend too much time at the Porsche stand.

+1 on the stinker, seriously, usually at the autoshows i spend a lot of time in the BMW section but this year it was like 15 min i think and it was just to sit in the new m3, that car is a total failure from the outside, its hideous.

I love the angle which you took that photo - it really captures the low sleek profile of the car... just a pity the iPhone doesn't have a high quality camera.

Any more pics, please post them

Didn't like the previous one but with the new 7 they again managed to keep the delicate balance between a very imposing car and an elegant one.

I was there today, got some photos of the new Z.

It's a beautiful car, makes a great impression in person. The interior is great, lots of cues that I wished my own car had. The suede-like surface in the door panels was a nice surprise. With that said, I'm not so sure about the profile still, looks a bit too chunky in the wrong ways to my eyes. Weight's not so great either, but nearly everything at the show hovered 4k pounds, haha.

No worries! That number is the GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating), meaning the maximum weight of the car+cargo. So full gas, two passengers, stuff in the trunk, etc. up to a certain limit.
For example, the GVWR on my 135i coupe is in between 4200 and 4300 lbs. Although the max cargo weight of the new z4 will be less, I bet the car weighs around 3200 lbs. or hopefully less!

Best looking BM in years

Wow, this car continues to look great. Usually when I see the news here about forthcoming BM's I do not feel the need to comment, but this one strikes me every time I see it. It looks great. Reminds me a bit of the classic 507 from the sixties. Could be a future classic except it will probably sell in too high a numbers.

They had the same car in the same colours at the Toronto AutoShow. Stunning in person. If it drives 1/2 as good as it looks it will be a world beater. If I could manage with only 2 seats this would be my car.
