Side-swipe repair places?
Hello All -
This is a very painful subject to talk about but I need some help. After finishing up another stressful day at work yesterday, I walked out to my car only to find that the passenger side of my e90 had been side swiped in the parking lot. Hoping that it was done by a decent individual, I looked for a note on my window only to be disappointed. Someone had side swiped my car from the front passenger side wheel-well to the middle of my passenger door, leaving a long white streak as well as a dent in the passenger door right below the side-view mirror. The side-view mirror was folded in as well. (Unfortunately I did not have a camera with me on the spot to take pictures but I will try to take some tonight and post up pictures.) I tried walking around the parking lot this morning to find a white vehicle with scratch marks on the bumper but could not find it. Does anyone know if a good detailing place would be able to buff this out? or would I have to take it to an auto-body repair place. If so, does anyone know of any higly reputable BMW authorized body shops around the MD/DC/NOVA area where I can get estimates? I'm afraid that taking my car to any random body shop would only make the situation worse and so I would prefer a BMW authorized place (that would potentially have the matching Jet Black paint). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone, -joo |

Jooyong, I'm sorry to hear about your car There aren't any cameras where you park are there?
The only BMW authorized body shop I know of is VOB Auto Body in Rockville. Here's a link: http://www.vobbmw.com/Body_Shop.aspx I've been to Oldest to Newest in Rockville a couple times, and they're great as well, but not BMW authorized. I still highly recommend them though. They're here: http://www.oldesttonewest.com/ Good luck
