So, for my compadres on the Manon, have any of you been able to track the ship? WW says it's to arrive in NJ on Monday. On the ship tracking website, its position hasn't been updated since it was in the English Channel a week ago. . . .

The boats have to be less than 30 miles or so off the coast to register with the AIS network.

Your boat (lucky bastards) takes part in the sailwx network, so you get open ocean tracking at http://sailwx.info

The Manon is a little over half way across the atlantic.

My car is on the Manon too. Waiting for a 335d. Went to the dealer last night to get quote on my trade-in and saw my first 335d there. Traffic was so bad, I didn't drive it. I did sit in it and start the engine, look under the hood, and walked around the car to listen to the engine. Much smoother than I expected. Can't wait!!!!

Bastards. I had a feeling there would be a slight delay. The way my order has gone I feel bad for anyone on the manon with me. My bad luck is just rubbing off on everyone. I'll soon be coming up on 3 months since my order.

Currently south of Nova Scotia. Should be somewhere south of Cape Cod soon.

So if it gets to shore on 2/17, does that mean it off loads the same day?

My recollection is that it can take a day or 2 for it to offload, but that's based on my last order. That boat arrived early, and I think it offloaded on the day it was actually scheduled to arrive. There's a webcam at the port, I think. I'm going to do some looking for that. . . .

It's scheduled to depart 2/18, but I'm sure that is the standard schedule and delays unloading could surely happen. I dont think I have any options to be installed in the states and my dealership is only about an hour from the port. Hopefully it moves along quickly. I'll be everyone in front of me a case of beer to let my baby off first! Ha.

The ship hasn't reported since yesterday. . . . wonder if it's in port yet.

I think that means that it's out of the N Atlantic tracking service. It's probably picked up somewhere else, but I don't know. That's what I'm telling myself.

I could be completely wrong, since this is the first ship I've ever tracked.

Anybody else have a guess?

I'm not sure. Yeah, it hasn't reported in a while via WMO-VOS which was how we were tracking it in the open sea. I checked AIS and they still have it south of the UK. Hopefully, it'll be updated soon.
