OK guys/gals...this thread is dedicated to all those whose vehicles will be produced in Week 15 of 2009. Some of you might remember the Official 2007 Week10 Club which I was a founding member and some members remain in contact to this day.

This thread acts a support mechanism to ease the anxiety of waiting for your beloved BMW to arrive home. We post updates as to production status and the ever exciting transit across the Atlantic Ocean or wherever your BMW is destined for.

Here's what's on my plate.... I received my production # for our 2009 E90 LCI and will be taking ED on 4/17/09 at the Welt in Munich. Our plans are to tour Germany & Belgium before dropping the car off in Amsterdam for it's trip to the USA.

According to the 800-number, my car is also scheduled for completion on Apr8th.

I'm doing PCD and I'm excited for the drive back to Chicago afterwards. Get to spend some quality time with the car on the way home as well as trying really hard to keep my car under 4000 rpms.

You'll have a great time @ PCD. Say hello to Donnie & Jonathan for me and make sure you get a hot lap in the M5!

Keeping it under 4K should not be a problem because I don't think you want a ticket on your way home.

Yea, I've read that the hot lap in the M5 is a great time. Is there anything special I need to do to make sure I can experience that?

I am kinnda confused right now, I am all set to place my order for a 335i coupe this weekend. Problem is I will be going on a Business trip to Melbourne for 3 months starting May 15th. Is there anyway I will get my car before May 15th?

I am actually not able to get the whole picture. What's the time frame? Once I place the order, when does it complete production and what goes on after that?

Please advise?

My car is being built this week as well mate!
335i M-Sport, Sapphire, Oyster, Piano Black full options.
I can't take delivery of mine until May though for various reasons.

Why not place your order and have it delivered upon your return? You may even want to consider waiting a bit and get a MY2010 vehicle. Having a new car sit idle for 3 months makes no sense to me, other than the ones sitting on a dealers lot that can't be sold......

Mine was scheduled for Week 15 but it started last Wednesday and will be completed tomorrow (April 8). I'll be picking it up at the Welt on April 24 and heading south for 10 days in Northern Italy.

I don't want my car to sit at the dealership for 3mnts.

But at the same time if I wait for 2010 model, will there be any new design available or its going to be the same 2007 design and the other question is, will there be good lease offers or other words will there be leasing at all?

even the 09 model isn't the same as the 07 design. There was an LCI to the 09 models so I can't imagine the 2010 design to be any different. I'd wait closer to 2months away to order unless you want to lock in the financing/lease rate right now.

The average time from production to delivery in the US is 6-8 weeks right now.
