Yes quicker of course. The subaru.
But its still a Subaru. If i wanted a supercar slayer. Id spend 40k on an Escort cosworth and have 550-600bhp. Subaru's attract 12 year old girls. my E92 attracts all the ladies. Ill stick with my diesel LOL. Always hated Subarus with a passion, well I would do being a FORD COSWORTH boy through and through. Ive seen 10k RS Turbos kill Ferrari's LOL.

How much quicker on a roll though i aint so sure.
When stock I had a play with a FQ360 and it was neck and neck to some speed. But that was from a rolling high speed. I would expect a E92 M3 from a rolling start to pull slightly from this Subaru 60-100 then pull even more after that. A tuned 335i and 335d are close to the M3.

Yes, It may handle better than stock. So will a 40-50k Cosworth.
Ford with the RS500 destroyed everything in BTCC and WTCC in the 80's. There have been some absolutely terrifyingly awesome Custom Cossies built over the years. How come you didnt get a subaru mate?

If I was to get a car like this (extremely unlikely) it'd probably be an FQ360, but these cars are not my cup of tea. They are however my cousins, who loves going on about these outlandish, boyish motors, then again he is 18! So your point about attracting the 12 year old girls is correct. I totally agree. Of course I'd rather own a bimmer, but it's just the performance to pound ratio that I find impressive.

Carl, Ford with the Capri RS3100 destroyed everything in TC in the early 70's (including the BMW Batwings).
And I am sure if I spent 40-50k on it's NA Cosworth GAA it still could. But is OLD tech. The RS500s are OLD tech. Did you see that article in EVO a while back that reviewed some small hot hatches against a Lancia Delta Integrale and some of them slaughtered it ? Techonology and pace move on ... With £40-50k I could make a Brontosaurus handle But that litchfield is much more capable. I don't give a hoot what the badge is, or whether it impresses girls or ladies - you've got to smile that cars like that are made. D.

No way will you get an X50 for £30K, add at least another £10K for a half decent one.
You don't buy a jap car for it's interior, , mines not very nice to look at BUT the driving position is fantastic, function over form, boys £40K and you could get a beautiful Mk.1 911 (996) GT3, still modern, still great performance and yes you are really driving it, not many driver aids

Also my friends X50 was only 43k ages ago now, bet you can pick one up for under 30k now... Hi sis the mintest example ive seen also. Paul a stoc fiat panda will do it prob in 19 secs at 72mph.
