Angry NJ roads really s***k!!

Guys, sorry to rant here, but I mean, come on!!!! These are not potholes anymore, they are CRATERS!!!!

The other morning I was driving West on Rte 80 when I suddenly saw that big SUV swirl from the middle lane to the right lane (I was in the left one).... to realize that the guy just avoided a monster hole. Result? Over the next mile or so, there were at least 4 or 5 cars on the shoulder, flashers on and the front left tire flat.

I think I will not be driving my baby for a few more weeks... until the roads are fixed again.

This really annoys me!!

tell me about it. Same crap here in NY. Roads that were perfect in the fall are now full of holes up to a foot deep! The snow damages everything

we don't have as much potholes in LA, i just see little ones and roads in hollywood almost require 4x4 in order to get around. but we have a lot of DIPS here.

Pennsylvania has THE WORST roads bar none. I hit a MILD one last year and it took out tire/rim and part of my front bumper. You could have sent F*cking cave explorers into the damn thing.

ITS SO LAME THAT DAYS/WEEKS HAVE GONE BY AND NOT 1 POTHOLE HAS BEEN TENDED TO IN THE NY/NJ COMMUTE.

It's not like this is the first winter.

I guess the state budgets going broke is no joke.

One of the worst ones I have seen was on the exit ramp from route 1 in Woodbridge that runs behind Jose Teja's. I was all happy taking this nice emtpy s-turn, when I nearly drove into the grand canyon. I pulled into Teja's to grab some lunch, and got a kick out of everyone else slamming into this thing. It took out 2 cars, while I was eating.

I really gotta wonder how something gets that bad without getting fixed.

Monsta,

One of the guys I work with told me that they finally fixed this atrocity about a week or so ago. Good news for the rest of us! Although, it will make my burrito drives slightly less adventurous now.

just take the S curves 10-20mph then your normally used to and don't slow down to turn into the Tejas, that'll keep it adventurous but make sure not to have it after those burritos or you might stain your seats...

Watch out when changing lanes on Route 22 from Mountainside to Green Brook. The seam between the lanes is like the Grand Canyon in some places!

BULLS*IT is what it is PA is NOT broke and if they were after this week thay should have a few shiney quarters. I went to the Eastern Sports and Outdoor show last Saturday paid 8 bucks to park a quarter mile away finally seen the line turned around and went home. I returned Wednesday thinking eh maybe people will be at work. Still not much better but i waited paitently all the while wondering where in the hell does all this revenue go. Id like to call my representatives and ask but if i mentioned the state of our roads he'd blame it on asphalt termites and suggest i drive like im going thru a minefield.

i have bent 2 rims and had 3 flats since taking delivery of my M3 in November!

I am currently filing 1 claim against Essex County to try to get some of my money back.

When is Obama going to rebuild America's roads again?

Interesting how ALL of us, from ALL different parts of Northern America & Canada seem to have this problem, and I dunno about you guys, but in Toronto, I cant remember it being this bad EVER...There are massives potholes everywhere, and whats just as bad is that the little pieces of road (aka rocks) that came out of these potholes is spread all across the road and cars in front of me are kicking these rocks up at my front bumper

Tell me about it. I commute on 22 from Mountainside to where I work in Green Brook. I never realized how bad it was until this morning. The worst of it is actually in on the Scotch Plains/Watchung Border. Westbound after Bowcraft and prior to Blue Star. Hit one this morning running late for work. It sounded like my front pass. wheel was gonna blast through my fender. No dent though, so all is well.
