LCI 328i questions
For LCI 328i AT owners:
1. Do you experience a second or so delay during kick down? 2. No matter what I do there is no wheel slip during launch (no enough power delivery at low gears?). It wasn't the case with 325i I used to have. As far as I know a little wheel slip is the best for the quickest launch. |

1- I don't think the AT on the LCI and Pre-LCI are too different, but my sister has an 07 328 AT, and I do think that the first gear is kinda slow or sluggish (not sure if that's what you're asking about) I have an MT 328 LCI and I don't feel a slow kick down. (like i said, i'm not sure what you mean by kick down)
2- I dont think the Stability control program allows you to do wheelspins, Try turning off the Stability control program by pressing and holding the DTC button. Also try (if you arent already doing so) Holding the brake and revving it up to high rpms and then letting off the brake

The new cars have the same e-diff they put in the 1 series. It does a good job of mimicking an LSD - there is much less wheel slip with it.

2. Your 328i probably has more grip on its tires? Could also be stability control as other have said. |

AFAIK 325i autos were sourced from GM.

its a new car and has brand new tires, the transmission has to adapt to your driving, try stepping on the gas a little with one foot on the brake to raise the revs. also why do you want to do this? you should have bought an mt if you want to burn your tires.

I rev the car, so the tranny is used to it Here, I compare 325i and 328i with the same configuration, but the behavior is not the same.
