- About To Pull Trigger On A 335 - Help -

Hey all...slightly complicated deal here....tell me if I'm crazy...

I have a 2007 335 Sedan...I have a few more months left on my lease and my payoff is $2400....plus I need 4 new tires which is $800.

My local dealership structured a deal on December rates (Thats when I qualified)...

2009 335 Sedan 36 Months .00215 Factor (Marked up 40 points...should be .00175) and a 62% residual. Coming out at $699 a month, no drive off.

The invoice on the car is $42,420.00, (Retail $45,XXX) they are selling me the car for invoice....turning my 2007 into BMW and giving me a check for $1660 to cover the payoff...I would then owe BMW ~$600. They are taking care of the tires for me for no charge (Another customer gave them rims, with 80% on these tires) and I have $0 drive off...and with tax at 7.25% my payment is $699....seems high no?

Thanks in advance,

Nate

Try...
1. Don't allow the MF markup
2. doing 7 MSDs to bring down the MF
3. Small downpayment (if you're a BMWCCA member you'll get $500, round it up to a grand and see where the numbers come out).
4. Wait till march

BTW you just missed a 1500 BMWFS rebate, ended Feb 2.

I got the 1500 rebate because they got the car in lock and I'm supposed to sign today. They are quoting that it's policy to do markup on the lease

You are supposed to pick up the car from inventory by 2/2 - make sure 100% that the offer still stands - That's BMWFS policy.

Absolutely not! Go to another dealer.

BMWFS allows them to mark up the MF. They don't have to but they usually do, however if they think it's a deal breaker they should give it to you at the base rate.
I have never paid a markup on the MF, 2 leases, 2 different dealers.

Try Philippe Kahn, if nothing else he'll be honest.

If you end up dumping the rebate and walking, figure it will make a difference of about $40/month on a 3 year lease.

Good luck.

Thanks everyone for the help! The deal is looking like its going to be ~$200 to me over invoice and no markup on the rate...which took a lot of BS to get over.....honestly thanks again! Brought the deal to $669 a month with $1661 back to me for payoff and drive off was rolled into it...nothing out of pocket!

they are just hosing you on the back end. Enticing you by saying invoice... then marking up the money factor.
