I watched the news last night and saw a reporter in Scunthorpe standing by a road with no snow on it at all. He said that the gritters had been out but no snow ploughs yet, what did he think they were going to plough? Now all the schools are shut here, despite the fact that we have less than 1/4 inch of powder, in case anyone falls over in the playground and sues the local authority. And the reports talking about 'arctic' conditions! Correct me if I'm wrong, but even with global warming I think it's a feck of a lot colder at the North Pole. |

Got snow where i am, had to be at work at 6 this morning and there was a massive Sainsbury's car park which was covered in virgin snow, so i spent 15 mins with it all to my self!

Did I just read that right..........must be my imagination.
Quite a bit of snow up here but nothing like down south. Keeps snowing then bright sunshine - very strange. Fun trying to set off down the street this morning as it's never gritted..........eventually got enough traction lol. Those bi-xenons soon melted any snow left on them. |

Looks very familiar! Turn left at the roundabout and you'd get to me in no time (weather permitting)

True, but when it only happens to you once every 6 years, it's bound to take people unawares

Too hot, too cold, too wet, too dry, too much snow, the wrong kind of snow, the wrong kind of leaves (remember that!)
Any excuse for our infrastructure to grind to a halt...... No problems for me, Manchester to Stalybridge, clear run. I bet even the forum members from Northern Scotland are having a laugh... Snow in London - ahhhhhhhhhh - the world is ending!! |

that Mercedes SL infront of me was a HOOT to watch... just had NO idea.. He (i did check it was a he!) obviously knew nothing about traction control OR How to Run the car up into a higher gear... He actually spent half the time just literally sliding sideways, until believe it or not the passenger rear just nestled against the off side curb and forced the car straight... He then just carried on like this at 15 Degrees off straight.. All the way down Seven hills - lol Love to see HIS alloys when it melts :P
