Alignment

I don't know about you guys but I am very picky about alignment. Almost every car I have ever owned had issues with this including pulling, off center steering wheel, amd looseness in the wheel on-center.

Because of this I was really looking forward to my Bimmer for its world famous steering feel and precision. I have had my car for over a week now and the steering feel is awesome. Very tight on center and responsive to slight movements. However.....I do notice that the wheel may be very slightly off center. In other words on a straight flat, smooth road, to get the car to track straight, the steering wheel is not perfectly straight, it is slightly to the right. Do you thing I am being too picky or should I get it looked at? I dont want these guys screwing up or making my new car worse . Should I ignore it seeing as it is very minor?

the BMW spec is something like +/- 4% from dead nuts center iirc. Even if you take it in, I doubt they would do anything about it.

... and yes, I think that you're being very picky, lol

If you do complain, they will probably just ask you to pay for an alignment, saying you caused in with everyday driving... lol

Mine was off by about 5 degrees. I had the car aligned at a dealer for free. They'll do it for free within first 500 miles or so. After that, you are on your own.

So, I would take it in while it is still new. Good luck!
