Got this information compilation from bavarian19 (AJ)....hope this helps:
H11 and H7 are not interchangeable, I think that's what you're asking. Voltagewise, you can use the H11 for fogs (55w is the correct voltage). I believe same case for the H7 bulbs (used in the halogens). 2006 BMW 325i, 325Xi, 330i, 330xi (With HID (high intensity discharge) headlamps) Low beam headlamp HID-D1S High beam headlamp (DRL) H7 Parking light 2825 Front turn signal 7507A Rear turn signal 7506 Tail light 7528 Stop light 7528 Fog/Driving light H11-55W License plate 6418 Front sidemarker 2825 Glove box 6418 Step/Courtesy light 2821 6411 6418 Trunk/Cargo area 6411

thanks mate. maybe i should have word it differently, just too lazy to type...hehe
i was asking if our stock OEM H11 and H7 could be replaced with the PIAA H11& H7 as shown in the above respectively. coz today went pass a shop that sells a generic brand H11 fog bulbs. the label reads 12v 80w ->100W. so i assume this is not compatible as it draws 80W from my car, and produce 100W blue-white light which i think its not advisable as i read in this forum that the stock H11 fog light bulbs are 55W. So i am looking for these. Now i found PIAA. Think i will order them.

yep can't go wrong with PIAAs. And you are correct, you need a 55w voltage (final output doesn't matter) for the H11 bulbs to avoid the dreaded error message. I have verified this myself as I have swapped out my fog bulbs which are 55w-->100w.
As I mentioned, I am not sure about the H7s, I'd assume the same premise. GL, and please share results.
