Local Track Event (compare the 135's timing to others)
Our local Circuit Racing Club arranges a sprint challenge during it's racing season. I normally enter with my 350z. Since I have some some work goin on my engine, I had to use my 135 instead:headbang:

The sprint challenge is the timed-track event arranged by the BIC. You get a couple of practice sessions with 30mins each, then you do a couple of heats with a couple of laps each starting from a standstill...
And yes, u can find pro photografhy there

Nice driving! You beat 5 Porsches and 2 C5 'Vettes? The only cars faster than you was a GTR and a Z06! Was it the drivers?
What is your setup and how is the track laid out? Looks like you got a nice points lead. Congrats and keep up the good work! |

Thanks guys... I just want to add that I used BFG R1's on stock wheels.
Stock suspension and brakes. I can still push a little more and shave half a second or maybe 1, but, taking it easy on the brakes.

Congratulations. Thank you for confirming for me what I always thought from my own personal experience on the track: the 135i is a very capable car on a track for your typical lapping days for the average driver, even in stock form. I was very impressed with my pace even with the stock run flats last season. I'm hoping to go even faster once I upgrade to lighter rims and stickier tires.
And one other question: do you think you're faster in your 135i or your 350Z?

Holy crap. Congratulations. Your driving skills are pretty evident in the numbers against cars that should be able to kick a 135 on paper.

my 135 is only 1 second slower than my 400whp Z!!
my 350Z has Tein Coilovers and using the same set of tires And yes, the 1er is a very track-capable car and the steptronic was amazing too, specially with the rev-match downshifts

I cooked the stock pads on the Berk 135i literally after half a lap. And that was on the stock runflats... Your BFG's work the pads even harder! |

mmm... stock brakes were fine (so far), even after a couple track events. The air ducts DO make a diffirence, little brake fading was only felt on the end of the second hot lap.

that's true. During the practice, I used to do a single hot lap and a couple of cooling laps. It's only during the heat when we are needed to do a couple of back to back hot laps from a dig start
But still, the brakes did not heat up as my Z used to do. I had braided lines and higher temp brake fluid on the Z. BTW.. do u know if Hawk make pads for our 1er?
