Supercar Sunday 12/28/08
Every sunday you can find a crowd of people gathered outside the Village Coffee Roaster in Calabasas, sippin' a little joe. Often the place gets crowded as early as 7am. The end of the month being the time when this little coffee shop gets it's most crowded. What makes so many people come here for coffee?
Well, it isn't just the coffee, which is pretty darn good, that draws the crowds. It's the prospect of seeing some of the best supercars in Southern California. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Supercar Sunday. An informal gathering of car enthusiasts, owners, and fans of anything that moves along and looks good. Here are a bunch of shots we took of some of the better rides.

Wow... Is the the famous Cars & Coffee event that usually happens in SoCal? I keep hearing more and more about it.
Thanks for posting. I love seeing older Prancing Horses. That 328 looks cool. I've always had a warm spot for a Mondial, even though they are one of the shunned few. Some day... |

I finally had a chance to go to this and even though I arrived a bit late, there were still a lot of cars there. What a fantastic event! There were just tons and tons of cars of all ages and types. The photos above are representative of the types of cars, but it doesn't do the scale of the event justice!
I'm definitely going again next month - just earlier this time!

Yep, it's an amazing event. I've been attending for years since it started up informally, and every month there's something new to ogle over.
This time, it was the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione! Unbelievably gorgeous lines and scale. Also amazing was the grouping of F40s, three parked side-by-side. The fun starts around 7am, the last Sunday of every month. It's a must do. |

I know the owner of the coffee shop. I got invited to go a LA to Santa Barbra Speed run (120+ mph speeds) with R8's 911 GT3's etc. I was busy that weekend so I couldnt do it.

Hey hey Former, great pics. Were you the brand new AW 135 parked near one of the entrances? NICE CAR!! I remember when my car looked so shiny like ... hehehehe ...
Great show today, really bummed I didn't bring my camera. That Ferrari that everyone is gathering around in your last picture was incredible. I want to say it was like a '57 250GT 'Testarossa'. Plus there was an original General Lee picture car, from the Dukes of Hazard TV show, an F40, a Carrera GT, countless 430s and 360s, lambos, cobras, count 'em 3 TESLA ROADSTERS, unreal...When I arrived @ 7:30 the place was already packed to the gills. Just amazing for an "unofficial" weekly gathering. edit: Oh, and by the way, not to burst the bubble, but that M5 is a fake. The dude built it to be like an M5

No, sadly I didn't have my 1er today. It's in the shop awaiting a part order for the silly rear-view mirror that can't seem to stay in the same position for more than two days. I was gonna pick it up for the weekend, but I got out of work late on Friday and the car shuffle just didn't happen.
Mine's Montego blue and I'll be there next month for sure. Thanks for the info on that M5. Looked pretty good even if it was a fake.
