Best service dept on long island, ny?

Hi all!

I'm about to become an e90 owner as well, very excited. But after reading about all these bad experiences at service departments, I'm not sure which dealer to take my car. If any of you have had great experiences on long island, ny, please let me know. Thanks!

Where did you purchase your BMW? Might want to start there. I figure you might have the best chance from where you bought it from. People have complained about the poor service from dealerships they did not purchase from.

out of curiosity, does rallye provide a free loaner if you didn't buy a car from them?

I'm not sure what their policy on loaner vehicles is. Give them a call and see what they say, the number is 866-833-4997.

How is the service at Rallye (not just with loaners), lets say if I didn't buy the car from them. Like if I bought the car from BMW Bayside . You think the service is still top notch if I were to take my car to them?

From my experience Rallye is the worst dealership and service dept I have experienced. I can highly recommend Hassel. Ask for Paul G. He is the best.

rallye is good, but they are just too busy, if you want a good service department, trust me, bmw of oyster bay is alot smaller and more involved imo. they are near rallye too.

I think it's something about Bayside.

Not related to BMW, but I took my Durango in to be serviced at a Dodge Dealership in Bayside and they kept my car for 3 DAYS! No loaner, of course and they failed to find the reason why my streering was wobbling after all that time.

I ended up taking it to a dealership in port jefferson out in LI, and they fixed the problem in a couple of hours and laughed at me and even had a guy stay at the office late so I could pick it up after they had closed.

Every single person I met at that Bayside dealership was just a jerk for no reason.

I have always liked them. I use to have an '03 325ci and whenever I had a problem they were more then willing to fix it and provide me with a loaner car for the day. My car was also modified and they never busted my chops about it.

I like rallye now...but I am going to love it when they open their new center....it is just too cluttered and often highly traffic'd because they are together in a tight front lot with MB.

They are building a huge facility in westbury to replace the one in roslyn (brushollow road and jericho by westbury music fair)

Huge facility, with complimetary breakfast, cubicles with internet and phones, bmw salon, and complimentary car washes whenever you want...not just when you have service done...

the place is f'ing huge something like 115000 sq feet

That sounds really cool. This is probably a stupid question, but is it only for people who purchased their car from Rallye?

I have had to use Habberstad BMW on two separate occasions and so far they have been top notch.

Have never used Habberstad...however I do know that they are in fact the only DINAN dealer and in NY. I would assume that they have some pretty good techs there..And they may be more likely to look the other way as far as mods are concerned

I found the CA at Rallye to be quite arrogant and I wanted to place my order at a dealership where I can honestly rate them all 5's. From the initial contact with Hassel, they have been very professional and from the comments here, I believe I made the right choice. The only time I want to see a SA though, is for scheduled maintainence!
