I'm going to be installing my UUC within the next week or two. Depending on the mood that day, I may try to take pics and/or do a diy.

Ok, so UUC is installed. Sorry, no pics or diy, but it's basically exactly like the diy for the 335.
The UUC instructions will tell you to disconnect your exhaust, but I could not see any reason to do this and didn't do it. Still not sure why it says to do it. I did remove the 4 bolts under the trans brace, which dropped it just a tad, providing a little extra room to work around. Hardest part of the install was the 6 tiny screws you have to install into the carrier. I was able to do 5 of them from inside the car and the other one I did from underneath the car. Just tedious work. Take your time and it's no problem. While I was under the car, I modified my CDV. Still not sure why people are buying a modified CDV. Just tap out the restricter with a screwdriver and it's modified. Hmmmmmmmm. UUC is amazing. A little stiff now, but from my experience with prior UUC short shifters, it will get smoother in a few days. Highly recommended. |
