My tyres are crap :(
I have done 9500 miles and I am about 1mm away from the tread marker, so I think I have 3-4mm left.
They are seriously crap at the moment, even got wheel spin in 3rd gear at 70mph... what's that all about?? I am stuggling out of the lights in town - yes I realise that the cold slimey roads don't help, but I can't believe how little traction I have. Going to NY on Wednesday, but when I get back I think I will need 2 new rears. How is eveyone else getting on and what's your mileage / tread like?

I have done 500 miles on mine and my traction control light seems to be constantly flashing. To be honest though the roads are soooo bloody slippy at the moment, I don't thinks its the tyres problem. My Mrs is saying she is having the same problems and she drives a 4wd Audi TT. Roll on the third weekend in July that we in England call Summer!!!!

Picked up my s/h 135i AC last Fri.
Very nice wee beastie  Amazing engine Re tyres, I've a nail in one and with 7000 miles up they're over half worn anyway so will be replacing both rears - and boy; 245/35R18 Potenza RFTs are bl**dy hard to find! But eventually found a couple and getting 'em fitted Friday. I did wonder about replacing all tyres with non-RFTs cos the ride is well jiggly with the RFTs (and then having the M mobility kit in the boot a la Z4M) - especially oop here on the pot-holed North Yorks minor roads where I live! And like you guys say, the RFTs do spin sooooooo easily in the current road conditions. What would you guys recommend as non-RFT replacements :iono: ? Mike |

Moff,
I'm also at ~ 9K miles and the rears have worn far quicker than on my old M3 - i think it's all that torque and SSTT. I can't see them making my first service in 8000 miles! Mad |
