Another F40 with cluster needles faded out ¿¿??
Hi good evening to all.
First of all want to wish a very happy new year to all members and comunity !! Then wonder if someone please wants to help me on this "common issue" that many of ours F40 are suffering.... I mean the white needles in cluster are now completely faded out. I have read and seen some companies around that fix the problem, but....really want to give a try to repair it. I have or can get some equipment and soldering iron station to change the broken or not working IC. Have read and read and tried search some info about whats causing it, but somehow that info is not public. I would even pay a "reasonable" price for that info if it helps to bring my cluster back to light !!! Thanks so much in advance. Have a great new years eve !!!!! Alicuota. |

Hi
I did find one post somewhere and it was a fairly simple fix for someone that knows electronics - I found it when I had the issue on my F44. Stupidly I didn't save it as the car was under warranty and I got it replaced under fault. I do have the old one still so if you want a used one to try it on without worrying about losing you cluster all together let me know. (Im in Prague so fairly easy shipping). Not much use other than to say it is out there, and probably on this forum - do a search in the f44 forum also or just keep google searching! It is out there! Think it was a resistor for the white LED - I assume yours is like mine and it still works at night with the red light? |
