How to remove trunk liner to access 3rd brake light?

Do those plastic pop rivets come off by levering with a screwdriver or do you need a special tool? I tried with a screwdriver and an old rag but was a bit afraid to use too much strength just in case i broke something.

They pop right out. You should be able to get this type of tool at any parts/tools retailer.

I had a similar question to OP and didn't want to create a duplicate thread so I'm brining this one back from the dead.

Does anyone know where I can find the mentioned tool to remove the rivets? Does it have a name I can reference?

Here's your best bet:

http://t.harborfreight.com/5-piece-a....google.com%2F

If/when you need to remove other push rivets and tabs around the dash, doors, front bumper, etc., the nylon pry bars won't mar the finish of the part being removed.
