Dial out understeer

I found a technique that helped me dial out some understeer at the track. First get a set of R compound tires in 245 on all four corners. Next, run over a nail and ruin one of your R compound tires. Lastly, put the stock run flats on the rear and put the R compounds in front.

So tire difference aside, with a slightly stiffer rear sway-bar, and some small play in tire pressure, it should real nice.

I guess 235 40 is the biggest size for stock front wheel

I have a set of Breyton race wheels with Kumho v700 in 245 on all four corners. I have camber plates and spacers in front which provide the necessary clearence for the strut and fender. I ruined on tire. Visualize matte grey Breytons in front and stock silver 5 spoke in the rear. I got some interesting looks from people at the grid. But it worked. Just an example that the understeer is not terminal.

Well that's one way to do it but the proper way would be a rear sway bar

I meant this thread as a joke. It was out of necessity that I ran the stock tires in the rear and the R compounds in front. I didn't drive 3 hours and spend all that money to just watch others buzz around. And in the end, the car handled pretty well.

makes a lot of sense, what you say. i know someone who is a drifting genius and uses R888s in the front and R1Rs at the back in a square setup too. works like magic apparently.
