How to correctly connect dashcam in F40 ?
Hello
![]() I review all titles in "BMW 1 Series (F40) General Discussion" and I didn't find the any information / questions regarding to this topic. I want to install a dashcam using the hardwire kit to my F40. The hardwire has a 3 wires: (+), (-, ground) and (ACC, + after ignition). In BMW electrical system: (+) = terminal 30, (AAC) = terminal 15, (-) = terminal 31 In case of BMW F11, I used the original instruction for BMW CarEye and adopt it aftermarket camera using fuse piggy - easy job, no errors, no battery drain since 5 years. But in case of F40 I have a problem with localize the terminal 15 which will be work as ACC. The first attached picture presents entire electrical system from my car. The terminal 15 is only on the A361 but there is no fuse related to constant (+). Important! I would like to avoid cut the wires or using "clip" preferred by BMW (D and E on last picture) in order to add the wire to wire. In F11 it was done using only fuses and fuses adapter without cutting the wires and could be disassembled in 1 minute Anyone have a idea how to do this ? Perhaps I think wrong and ACC can be taken from Terminal 30B which is activated after wakreup ? Last edited by efendi; 10-02-2025 at 04:05 AM.. Reason: add pictures |
