15,000 mile service yet?

Has anyone had the free 15K service yet? Besides oil change what else does it include?

thanks!

If you look through your cbs data (either through the nav screen, or the cluster), you can see what is coming due for your car.

Dealership told me I need to wait til 18000 miles before oil change?? That seems to be higher than what I have been reading. Should I just do the oil change myself?

Yes 18K is high, most here feel that 15K is high as well. Search, you'll see LOTS of discussions on this. Trend is the usual 5K changes (either DIY or shop) then have BMW do the scheduled 15K change. NOT 18K!!!!

There is no change scheduled at 15,000 - the mileage to the next recommended (and, therefore free) service depends on how the car is driven and is displayed on the dash at startup. My 128i has 12,000 mostly highway miles and the dash readout currently indicates another 13,000 to the first oil service!

While I tend to have one interim service between scheduled changes, a 5,000 mile change interval using synthetic oil is a waste of money and resources, IMHO.

I believe BMW will do a 1 year service if you aren't at 15k yet, or if the system indicates you're not ready for service. So lesser of 1 year or 15k.
