Pikes Peak International Raceway
This past Saturday I attended a track day at PPIR here in Colorado with fellow 1Addicts member John970. The track is 1.3 miles long with a 130 MPH straight that really lets you see what the 1er can do when you stretch it's legs - no tight parking lot course here!
We both made an impressive showing in a field of Ferraris, 911 Turbos, Vettes, Lotus's, etc.... Here are two links showing the live action - John is preparing an assembly of his crystal clear HD video I believe - |

Apparently you need to buy a few more gallons!!! I didn't know the service soon light would come on if you run out of gas. Judging by the sound of your voice...neither did you! Glad to hear it was just gas and not an engine problem. Thanks for posting those videos.

Ha Ha, yes indeed - I was driving it pretty hard and thought I pushed my luck a little too far - but thankfully it was just the small remaining gas being pushed to the edge of tank from all of the high speed corners. Off topic - bet it looks really nice up there in BC at this time of the year! |

That is awesome. thank you.
After reading the "135 is boring" thread that is exactly what I needed. Maybe those guys that are so bored with the 1'er should spend a bit of time watching your videos and dream about the day that they could drive that well.

The 1er is really fun on the track... haven't had that much fun since my shifter kart days. BTW - I like your license plate |
