Plastic Jack Point Replacement

Today, I performed my first oil change at 2500 miles with Mobile 1 5W30 and BMW oil filter. After everything was done, I noticed that one of my plastic jack point was damaged because I did not use a proper inserts when putting the car up on jack stands. These plastic jack points are so fragile. If anyone needs to replace a broken plastic jack point like me, here is the link. They are relatively cheap to replace.

Cool. I ripped one off my car a couple of weeks ago coming down off the lift. I've just been hauling it around in the trunk since then. I'm not really sure why they didn't just put a nice flat metal plate under there to jack from instead of something plastic that sticks down.

My hydrolic jack did not do damage to the plastic mounting point but I guess the plastic can not withstand the stress when the car is on a jack stand with the contact point on the outside instead of straight up

Our MINI is at the body shop at this moment due to a failed jack point. Texas Speedwerks makes a great set of metal ones with nice toggles to replace the crappy MINI stock parts. When the MINI makes it back from the shop, the new jack points go on. I will check with them about replacements for BMW, hopefully it's in the "werks".

I crushed mine with jack stands. A friend bought a used M5 which in place of the plastic jack pads had hard bubber ones that were solid, instead of having the opening in the middle. These work so much better. Anyone know where I can buy those?

Mine are all kinds of mangled at this point, but whatever they still work just fine so I don't really have a problem with it. Maybe at some point when I'm not jacking up my car every other week or so I'll actually replace them.
