BMW Carbon Fiber Strut Brace

According to the BMW website, they make a Carbon Fiber Strut Brace that fits the 135i......... does anyone know if this is correct ? If so, does anyone out there have this mod on their 135i ?

Brace doesn't currently fit over the standard airbox. If and when BMW releases their Performance Intake, that is designed to fit over the airbox. Plus a lot of the aftermarket airboxes also accommodate the brace.

Technically.. yes but that's not 100% accurate.

Can someone describe the effect of having a strut brace? How does the car feel different?

Garage List
1994 BMW 325i  [8.50]
2005 M3  [9.66]
2005 325i  [8.00]
2003 330i ZHP  [9.00]
It fits over the stock air box, but isn't recommended to use on the N54 motor. The fact that it sits so close to the air box could cause it to break or crack if you hit the road improperly

The strut brace provides an extra level of resistance to prevent the top of the struts from flexing during cornering - thus helping to keep the wheels pointing in exactly the right direction. While the amount of bend or flex is not great, it can affect your line through the turn.

Hope this helps.

Have Fun,
Rick

That tells me I'm probably not a good enough driver for it to matter!
