Automatic 1/4 Mile DS or Paddles

Hi guys I was wondering how you guys run the 1/4 Mile? I never use DS Auto, I always paddle shift when I drive like I am driving a manual. When I auto cross I use the paddle shifters, bu today I put the car in DS when I was driving on the NJTPK and from the toll booths I would take off and I could not believe how fast the car was. I think I may run a better time in the 1/4 in DS, I ran a 12.66 using the paddles I am going to try and use DS on wednesday and see what happens. What do you guys use? Thanks

Apparently DS (and when in kickdown mode) is programmed at the "very last possible moment" to shift. I originally thought i'd use paddle all the time, but if BMW has already done the work here why not? However, back roads with S turns, PADDLE ALL THE WAY! I know when the turn is coming up, i know what the road looks like. I think DS should be renamed SLR (straight line race)
