Rear Sunshade?
Hey everyone, I plan on ordering my e92 soon and was wondering if any of you e90ers have the retractable sunshade option installed? If so do you feel it was a worthwhile addition? Thanks!!!

Great option - keeps heat out and reduces glare from cars behind you.
Also fun to roll up and down with press of a button.

I have them because I have an 11 week old baby. Im very surprised how much I use them when he is not in the car. They are great and you wont regret getting them espically if you get a black interior.

Definitely worth the (relatively) small investment, especially in the South or West. I'd still opt for it in NJ for reason others point out above.

It's a great option, really comfortable for rear passengers.
And fun to put up and down! I didn't get the manual-only side shades, but might get them dealer fitted if thats possible.

it helps big time in summer heat, esp. here in Texas, plus if you have kids and babies at the back, it will help BIG time... no need to retint the car...:rocks: also it comes with all the integrated manual shades on the rear windows and the lil triangular windows right behind them. For price, is kinda pricey for like almost $500 I think... but i think is well worth it if you are looking for shades to be put on like most other family cars out there, it keeps a stealth look and hide them nicely.

I love the shades. I also plan on getting tints in the next couple of weeks.

Love the sunshade! I live in CO, with the altitude the sun is unbelievably hot during the summer. The sunshade and the parked car operation for the climate control make my car much cooler when I leave the office at the end of the day.
Def. get the sunshade! |

grifficp, what is the "parked car operation for the climate control"? Is this a setting for when the car is parked and turned off?

It is only outside air, as the aircon needs the engine to be running to power the compressor. It still helps to cool the car quite a bit though.

I have the Combi and it fits in with plenty of room. I have also tried the Britax (which is my next car seat) and that fits as well. So go buy your car now.
