Oil, Trans, and Diff Oil Change

Has anyone gone to a dealer to have these services done yet?

I'm looking to have this done as park of a "break-in" service. I know BMW won't cover it under their half a$$'d maintenance free program.

I'm just looking to get not only an idea of cost but the time it took to complete the work.

Thanks in advance!

I think the oil change is more important. I am looking to have mine done at 3000 miles myself.

If you don't like the warranty, do everything yourself.

There doesn't appear to be a drain plug on the rearend. Pulling the cover will add to the expense. Be sure to take pictures if you have the cover off. We all would like to see what a welded diff looks like.

Really no reason to even begin to worry about the tranny and diff oil until at least Inspection 1 time. I believe every 30k miles is what the old "real" maintenence schedule called for.

The motor oil I'd dump at 1200 though.

I did the engine and tranny oil. Couldn't get to the diff oil so I left it alone.

No problem...I'll take half a$$ maintenance program over a smart a$$'s opinion anyday. Opinions are like a$$holes actually, everyone has one.

Motor oil will get changed out for sure. Wasn't sure about the others. Thanks to all those who replied with helpful information.

Nordique14 how much trans fluid did it take? I can't find the specs on that or the coolant amount.

Also I read somewhere that the rear diff is sealed, no drain or filler plugs there.
