Hi Everyone

Just a quick hello to everyone, great forum I have to say

I've put a depo down on a used 135i and hope to pick up this Saturday I'm trading in my E92 320d coupe, I have few reservation about quility of the interior surfaces and such like, but have to say the coupe is light years ahead of the 1 series hatch I drove recently, has anyone else come from the E90/91/92 to a 1er Coupe ?

Fuel consumption is going to be the biggest surprised after the 320d, but I'm not buying it for economy, however I will miss the range for a tank full, as I presently get 630 miles for a tank of derv, so I wondered what you owners average per tankfull?

Many thanks

CC

I previously owned an E90 320Dse for 18 months and then acquired a 6 month old demo 123D M-Sport back in May.

I did briefly think about getting an E92 but preferred the look of the 1 series coupe.(exterior and interior)

So far, the ownership experience has been very good apart from the premature wear of the leather seat (right hand side - drivers seat) which the dealer has agreed to re-upholster without any quibble.

I bet you noticed a big improvement with the 123 engine over the 120 ?

There is a noticeable difference. Very little turbo lag to speak of. In addition, the 123D pulls well in almost every gear. With the 320D (163 bhp), the torque was lacking when engaged in 5th and 6th gear.

You mentioned the interior quality; I think the materials used falls slightly short of the 3 series but I much prefer the design of the dashboard on the 1er. Horses for courses really.
