Anyone installed new pads on 135i?

If someone wanted to ... say... put track pads on for the weekend and buzz around for no good reason, but accidentally find themselves on a race course, how might said person perform a pad replacement on a 135i? Fronts only.

We changed pads (put in custom machined race pads from TMS) and definitely did not re-flash the ECU. We did not do anything to disable ABS either.

But we installed pads on all 4 corners.

Unfortunately, for whatever reason, BMW had Brembo make a caliper that was not like most of their kits and you do have to remove the front caliper.

Which makes the rears really seem strange, because they do slide out the top after pulling the retaining pins.

I just put in track pads. Not too bad. You have to remove the pins holding the pads in place and remove two 10mm hex bolts holding the caliper to the brake assembly. The pads drop out from the bottom. You'll need to push the pistons back in, install new pads, then reverse. I'm trying the Cool Willy pads from Turner on 8/9. I toasted my stock pads after a track day a couple weeks ago. These pads along with motul brake fluid should do the trick.

Cool Willy's. I've never used them before, but choices are limited right now. Got them through Turner. Pricey too. I opted for just the fronts.
