Post New Charger Scat Pack

670 HP 11.5 1/4 mile & 0-60 in 3.3
Starts at $60k
https://www.dodge.com/charger/performance.html

Wonder if we'll get a new Hellcat in a year or 2.

This is probably the biggest flop of all time in the automotive industry.

It fails as a muscle car, it can't even do a burnout. It fails as an EV. It's been critically panned by basically every reviewer. There's massive discounts on them and they're barely out. There's no demand for them and dealers are refusing to take them.

Dodge is scrambling to put the ICE version out ASAP, there's no 4 door version yet, and even the inline 6 models are DOA. All while Dodge clings to life.

I wonder if they'll end up releasing that Banshee model they bragged about or if the whole electric Charger dies before they even release it.

I think the ICE models will do fine. The EV will be a massive flop

Saw one the other day; it looks really nice, but it was pindrop silent when it drove by. An EV muscle car just doesn't hit the same..

I saw one the other day too. No presence at all. Not great looking either. Didn't look as good as the Challenger does, that's for sure.

I think the ICE model will be too expensive and doomed. Maybe if there's a base 3.6L V6 model coming too, but how many people that want an AWD I6 vehicle are gonna buy buy a DODGE? It's not like you're gonna convert 440i and 540i buyers over to Dodge, the leases aren't cheap enough and the brand snobbery won't let it happen. The people who used to buy V8 Dodges aren't gonna be happy with the I6 - look at the sales flop of the new Ram for proof.

They really would need a different demo completely to but an EV Charger. I can't imagine the present ICE Charger buyer would care at all about an EV version.

I mostly agree. They built a shit EV to the EV crowd. They built a shit muscle car to the muscle car crowd. They built a fat pig to the performance car crowd.

They managed to build a car that literally nobody wants. That whole program management team should be fired.

Pretty clever design, even though it's cringe. I'm sure most people wouldn't even notice.

Plenty of people bought the previous gen Scat Pack Chargers. I see a ton of them for every 1 Hellcat I see. 2023 Scat MSRP was $51k+.

To be fair, 99% of new cars these days are stupid heavy.

Now sure how a Hellcat is "shit", though. They have clearly proven otherwise.

So they made it worse by going EV, eliminating their target market, and raised the price by 50%? Genius!

I agree with you on all of that, but we are taking about the ICE version of the car here.

They realized EV only was a giant fail so here we are with another fast ICE car available. Not a bad thing.

A hellcat isn't shit. I'm saying that this new EV Charger is a shit muscle car.

The old Scat Pack and Hellcat sold well because they were simple, fast, sounded great, and spacious. This new EV version just doesn't do anything right.
