Spot cleaning exterior?

So I parked my car under an evil tree: the leaves that came off of it oozed a thick gel-like juice in the heat. I have about 4 globs of thick gel on my hood but other than that the car is CLEAN. What's the best way of scraping this off and washing the residue off without cleaning the whole car?

Thanks.

Any quick detailer/wash will work. I.E Mcquires ultimate quick detailer can be found just about anywhere. Just spray it on and wipe it off.

Be very careful cleaning this off the paint though. Sap, which is what it sounds like you have on the car, can cause damage to the paint very easily. Make sure you clean it as soon as possible and make sure it is at least warm. Do not try to clean it off when it is cold as it will act like cement glue and try to pull off some clear coat with it:eyebulge:

Goof off works pretty good as well:thumbup:

Thanks. I warmed up the sap with warm water then wiped it off. After which I used the McQuire's product. It worked wonders. I couldn't stop myself at the hood with that stuff and ended up quick detailing the entire car! (With microfiber cloth of course)
