TPMS on and keyless entry not working after repairs
I just finished having my car repaired from a minor collision to the rear bumper and door. When I got it back they said that the TPMS light came on, but that the dealer said it would go away after driving a few miles. Comfort access does not work at all either (completely, not intermittently).
Do I need to somehow resync the key to my car? Should I disconnect the battery? Or maybe these two problems are not related? |

I don't have an answer on the CA issue - but suspect you'll need to contact the dealer.
Check your tire pressures with a gauge to make sure they are OK then reset the TPMS sensor per the owner's manuals instruction. Page 69 of the non-iDrive manual. |

I tried to reset it and it said "inactive", even though it blinks for about 30 seconds, and then stays on afterwards.
Hmm, I guess according to the manual this means the system is not functional (yellow TPMS light instead of red). |

My car is completely screwed up. :iono:
Driving home today all of the lights on the dash came on, and the tach started spinning up and down. I had to park it, I guess I will have to have it towed to the dealership. I'm going to check to see if the connections are loose on my O2 sim, other than that I will have to assume the body shop screwed something up. |

Ho boy - get it to the dealer - last time I saw something spinning like that tach was - split pea soup came out of the thing in bucket fulls soon afterwards! ; -)

I checked it with an OBD2 scanner and I'm getting U112B. This is apparently a failed DSC module? I have no idea why that would be bad after getting my rear bumper replaced. I guess the dealership is my only hope now. Too bad they're closed all weekend.

Welp, not very good news. Apparently the body shop forgot to replace a rivet on the splashguard on the rear bumper and all of the electronics in there (including TPMS and ABS, and I assume CA) are soaked.
