Cleaning cone smudges off wheels?

I had a blast at the Boston Chapter BMWCCA autocross test and tune last Sunday - but of course my wheels encountered a large numbers of cones.

Cleaning the brake dust (grr) off my wheels this week, the cone marks didn't disappear with my usual process (instant detailing spray + paper towels).

Any advice on the best thing to do to get the cone markings out? I've only owned beaters up until now so I'm still very new to the clean car thing.

Garage List
A good old Staedtler eraser or maybe the Mr Clean Magic Eraser, but very lightly applied so you don't remove anything else but the marks...
