Crimson Red - Tough to maintain

I know that black, especially Jet Black is very difficult to maintain properly and other colors show dirt more than others.

How does crimson red stack up? Does it require above-average attention to keep looking great?

I've been very happy with it. I wash about once a week. The dirtiest looking thing on my car at the end of the week is the wheels, the rest (even though a close inspection will reveal dirt) looks very clean. I'd say the attention required is average.

It's pretty easy to maintain, I wash mine about once a week and YES the brake dust is the only problem ! I don't drive it when it rains so that cuts down on the number of times I have to wash it.

I wash my Crimson Red vert 1x per week. Looks great until I go to Houston! If I stayed in Dallas it would look great for weeks.

Has 1x coat of carnauba on it so far. Gonna try Meguire's nextgen synthetic on the wheels soon for the brake dust.

I agree with UR2SLOW1. The brake dust is the only problem with a Crimson Red. But overall, it is pretty low maintenance.

Bah. I have to rinse Jet Black every two to three days. The problem is at work. I notice a freshly washed car will look like sapphire black with dust flecks all over it. Then by day two, it's just dull.

I guess it depends where you drive. On the plus side, I can let the wheels get dusty for a week and it still looks good against a black car
