intercooler waterspray

Has anybody investigated installing a water spray kit for the intercooler.
The idea of the waterspray is to improve the efficiency of the intercooler therefore producing additional power.

I had one on my Subaru WRX. Still have all the bits at home and was thinking of installing it once the car arrives. I made it myself out of a windscreen washer kit and a pressure switch which was activated at a certain boost pressure.
