No need for the AIO, but i'd clay beforehand. and ZFX is key to being able to do 3 coats in one day. oh yea, and Z-6 is fantastic too.... just can't go wrong with Zaino...

There we go, just add one after the other, you'll get some kinda results. But actually, im not too sure, I havn't used zaino before, before this board I've never even heard of it or heard people use it. So I'm not so sure.

I've only used the z2, z5, z6, z7, z9, zfx and zcs but I've been happy with what I've seen so far. (Only? Hmm, maybe I should have bought one of the premade kits)

It's too early for me to tell if the zcs is worth it.
I also couldn't see much of a difference from adding z5 before z2 but I rushed it and didn't leave enough time between layers for it to fully cure.

I'm definitely pleased overall - very durable and extremely high gloss.

Oh! their tire dressing, also says use on other rubber parts and finishes, trims, hoses. Then describes why its so good, it was reminding me of 303 aerospace protectant. From what I heard 303 is magnificent, how would this compare?

So how does Meguiares compares to Zaino? I am going to take the Saturday class offered by Meguiares in Irvine which should be really fun =P

I was thinking of getting a kit just like the one mentioned in this thread, but I was a bit scared using a polish and orbital since I never detailed a car before (hence the Meguiares class).

On the other hand, for the money and time, it may be a better idea to have a professional shop detail my car and then maintain it? I'm sure the kit saves money since it can last more than one detail...

No need for an orbital if you are using Zaino, at least it my opinion.

I bought the kit listed above and my paint looks flawless. I used many different products back in the day and only one other product even came close to Zaino, and I can't find it for sale anymore

When people tell you Zaino looks better and better the more coats you put on, take them at their word. I put a dozen coats of Z-5 and a few coats of Z-2 on my car and just happened to park next to a SGM 335 the other day and the difference was impressive.

The one thing I havent used is Z-8, but I have some on order and will be using it instead of Z-6 if I like the results. Oh, and ZFX ftw.

After reading about Zaino on this board I went ahead and bought the Zaino Ultimate Protection Show Car Kit. It's probably overkill but it has everything I could possibly want or need. I hope.

Now I just need the car.

I did the same thing a week after my order. Just lock the stuff away or you might start using it as a small outlet while you wait for delivery.

About halfway through the wait I went a bit crazy and Z10'ed the leather couches in my living room. At the time I thought it would take a bit of the edge off but it just made things worse because the entire room smelled like new-car leather in there for a few days...

Have used Zaino poducts for several years now.

This weekend had my very first detailing of my new 135. Here is what I did

1) Dawn wash
2) Clay bar with Zaino Carwash Z7 as lube followed by Z7 wash
3) Z-AIO x2 with cotton app and towel
4) Z2 x3 with cotton app and towel
5) Z6 with microfiber to remove all the leftover dry product above
6) Zaino Z-CS

My test for enough Zaino - toss a clean towel onto the hood. If it slips off, you are good to go

You can substitute Z5 in 3) for the Z-AIO. Zaino requires a good drying period between coats - at least 1/2 hour or so. But it is sooo easy to work with.

Sal Zaino says not to layer zAIO b/c it has abrasives. Just one cote of zAIO, z5 (if needed), then go to town with z2. He also told me to z8 24 hours after zCS for amazing results.

He was right.

Good to know about the layering of ZAIO. Good thing my philosophy is to many light layers rather than putting it on thick.
