Went to the dealer afer work today and finally placed my order. Still can't believe what I just did (I'm 23, and this is my first "new" car.... needless to say, I've been calling all my buddies to tell them the news). :rocks:

Thanks man. I ended up going with Erhard in Bloomfield Hills; suprisingly they came back with the best price. They're charging $2600 for the M aero kit, painted and installed. Probably could have gotten it a bit cheaper ordering it seperate and having it installed at a local shop (or doing it myself); but I just wanted it done and ready to go when I take delivery.

That's about the same price if you did it after delivery, through the dealer. Hopefully your wait goes by fast.

congrats! I know how you feel. i'm the same age and this is my first big purchase I ordered mine early June and it finally arrived in Charleston 7/9/06. I called the 800 number and was told it would be another week or so. But my dealer told me after I inspect the vehicle, it would take another 5 business days since I'm also getting a spoiler painted and installed. I can't wait to get it. I kinda wish I got a 330, but it was way over my limit. The price would have been up to $5000 more than what I paid for my 325 here at my dealership.

I don't think it matters so much when you order the car; but rather when it goes into production. I ordered mine on the 1st of June, but it didn't get scheduled for production till the 10th.

I spoke with my CA yesterday, and she said "hopefully I'll be giving you a call this week, or the beginning of next telling you your car's ready." :rocks:

RNdude - the 325i's no slouch
The only reason I went with the 330i was because my expenses are nearly nothing (still living at home), and I was going to upgrade to the xenons and logic sound system anyways.

Well, mine seems to be slow all the way around compared to your dates. In any case, the slowest for me has been the wait for a ship. The next ship leaves on 7/13. If I make that one -- and I have absolutely no confidence I will -- I'll have been sitting at the port for 14 excruciating days. At this rate, by the time I get my car, people will be picking up their 335i's and I'll be looking for snow tires.
