135 Body Roll on R-comps

It has it. :eyebulge:

To be a little fair, this is a pic right after the car goes from asphalt to concrete, so there's a little bit more grip there.

To clarify, this is not my car. The car belongs to Steve Snow of Philly Region SCCA. From what I last spoke with him, he was running 245f/275r Hoosier A6's on the car. Not sure what wheels are on the car, but I believe they are some sort of BMW factory wheels. The car was supposed to have Koni DA's and an alignment as well before this event, but haven't had a chance to talk to him and see whether or not they were installed.

And the car is being set up to run in DS, so no coilovers there.

At this event, Steve finished 4th PAX, about a tenth PAX second behind Tony Savini (who finished 3rd in GS at Nats). Still trying to find out more info on the setup.

That is scary body roll!!!

For those of us who want a direct comparison to a GS MINI, these are the NON-Paxed times:

1T GS32 Tony Savini 2005 Mini Cooper SWhite 54.055 52.618 52.581 52.435+1
2T DS99 Steve Snow 2008 BMW 135iWhite 53.237+1 52.917+1 52.903 52.363+1

This comparison was a major concern of mine coming from a long history of MINI (GS and STX). Looks like the 135i is going to be in the ball park and possibly faster once the development has matured!

Again, that body roll is disgusting....

The grip of Hoosier A6s will really stress a stock suspension, as evidenced in that pic. I couldn't hold rear toe settings on my E36 M3 whem I ran Hoo-Hoos, they just over powered the adjustment bolts and they would creep a little on me.

I bet Steve Snow has terrible outside wear on those fronts--hope he has a large tire budget!
