Satellite Radio Issue

Hello and good evening!

My 135i has the satellite radio upgrade (what i mean is i paid $500 bucks for something; not sure what...)

Is Sirius the only provider available or can i use my existing XM membership?

Anyone know the answer....anyone???? hello????

P.S. I love my new car--holy-crap...

No, antennas and radio units are service specific. THey don't only make their money from subscriptions...

You can merge over your XM service to one of your buddies as a nice gift though

Sooner or later Clear Channel will give up and the merger will allow us to have the best of both worlds

Yeah, you got one or the other until the merger goes through and I'm gonna guess it'll take a while after for them to offer the other channels to those with XM or Sirius-specific systems (if that even happens.) They might say f-it and just come out with new ones. That would suck.

I've had subscriptions to both. I thought XM was better for me being into dance/electronic music at least.

How does the sat. radio sound in the 1 compared to your other sources?

Or you could just install an XM receiver in your 1'er and have both.

True, but not integrated with the radio, like Sirius is, with steering wheel controls, and all-in-one display sat radio info.
