What exactly do you mean by exterior trim? Carbon Fiber rear diffuser and stuff like that? If that's what your thinking about, I'm pretty sure that they are different.

I mean the trim around the windows. It's chrome on the 135i, but shadowline with the M Sport Package and I'd like to trade with my friend who has a 335i if they're the same piece.

For example, this car has chrome trim:

nothing will be the same, the doors on the 1er are frameless, and the cars are not even close in apperance.

the shapes are similar, but nowhere near identical. your best bet is to find someone on here to try to swap with who got the sport package.

No, I want the chrome cause I got the M Sport Package and had to take the blackline. To order the piece from the dealership is $1,600!

Oh, I'm sure there are tons of people then on here who would want the shadowline. I can tell you I personally did not get the sports package because I wanted the chrome. After I got my windows tinted, it looks amazing against the silver and I think frames out the car so much better than the black. Just my personal preference. So, I'm with ya.

1er is a lot smaller, so they are definitely not the same. And just wait for someone who didn't get sports package and want shadowline trim.

Plus, shadow line looks soo much better with black grill, i think you should just keep it.

so, it is possible to trade out the black window trim for chrome? I am getting a Sport pack, but the only thing I don't like is the black window trim. I'd rather have the chrome, and I wasn't sure if it was possible to do

In the uk we are able to order the sport and as a no cost option have crome and not shadow line, i went with the crome as i also prefer it.

$1600 for the crome trim? I thought it's around $700.

It lists for $348.50 per side on the 3 series coupe. It will very likely be less on the 1 series.

Well, from a picture, assuming the angle is right, a 2 foot long piece of metal can look just like a 3 fot long piece of metal, but that does not change the reality trhat 3 feet does not equal 2 feet.

Since the BMW designers did their job and made the cars look similar enough that the brand identity is carried forward, maybe it appears from photos that you can change the trims from a 335 and a 135, but they are not the same shape or size.

It will not work.
