I got a very good deal. $300 for all four plus prep ie sandblasting.

would my local body shop be able to do it?

I would suggest looking for a shop that does powder coating and metal refinishing. The shop I used also does performance coating for headers etc.

so like technically you can get like rims u love, sandblast them and powdercoat them into a charcoal black look?

I had wheels that needed to be refinished after putting about 60k miles on them so i had them sandblasted then powdercoated gunmetal. It would also be a good choice for someone who wants to keep the stock wheels but just change the aesthetics.
