Atlanta sales reps and dealers

Are there any enthusiast sales reps in the Atlanta area (or Athens, Macon)? I bought my previous car (01 S4) from a serious enthusiast and driving instructor that worked at BMW of South Atlanta but I think he moved on a while ago.

I'd like give an enthusiast a first shot at dealing. I haven't read too much feedback about the dealers in Atlanta on this forum, so if anyone has positive feedback I'd like to hear it.

Yes, there are TONS of salesmen where I work who are obsessed with these cars. I believe there are 11, and about 7 of them dig BMWs and attend CCA events. Hell, one of them even runs the Performance Center trip that occurs every month. I can recommend some people, if you are interested. We are United BMW of Gwinnett Place right at Gwinnett Mall. Let me know!

We're also a 2007 Center of Excellence dealership (less than 1% of dealers in the country carry this title) for having excellence service.

While on this topic, does anyone know what the MACO fee is for Atlanta and what the various dealers charge for a "document" fee or whatever they call it?

I want to do ED and PDC, so I think the MACO would not apply but I'm curious.

There's a 1 series pricing spreadsheet floating around some of these bmw forums. IIRC it was put together by someone that works at an Atlanta dealership and he says his region is $300. I may not remember that correctly, though.

For documentation, I know one of the Atlanta area dealers charges $495, which is pretty outrageous compared to other numbers I've seen.

Not giving away any more information until I get a production number

Found the spreadsheet here: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...ht=spreadsheet

Think I read it wrong the first time. Maybe it's not a CA and they are just wrong.

No, I live in Atlanta but both Athens and Macon are a short enough drive to get a better deal. From what I've heard the dealers outside metro Atlanta may be more flexible in doing ED on the 1er since it's coming out of their allocation.

Both Macon and Athens BMW will give atlantas a FAR better deal that in town dealers... This really sucks cause I had to leave the CA I usually deal at Chris (now Nalley) but intown dealer would only budge $500 which was no where near good enough for me... I personally spoke with Phil Dean at Macon and we worked out a great deal...

I live in Birmingham and was fed up with the run around there and sent an email to BMW of South Atlanta (through their web site) was able to get a great deal on my BMW 128i convertible (pm for amount off MSRP until my production shows up online).

Not sure about Athens or Macon, that was too far to drive for me. Parents live in Atlanta so am there enough that the drive is not really extra.

I worked with Emile Evert at Global Imports BMW. He was awesome. Knew the car. Very direct...no BS. I took my printed offer letter to him and he accepted it with no BS...well under MSRP and no doc fees...

I am 25 and walked into the showroom at Global Imports on a Saturday and a salesman asked if I needed help. I said I'm interested in a 128i, but not today, and he just handed me a brochure and walked away. Nobody cared to introduce me to the car and later he told me there would be no way for me to test drive a 128i manual. I just walked back to my Mercedes which was parked in front of the showroom. Are times that slow that these guys just don't believe anyone and will only exert an effort to the 40+ crowd? I get the impression that with my age nobody will give me the time and that will put me at a disadvantage for negotiating. If I become serious with this car, I will check out board sponsors, but I won't seriously consider without a test drive.

They dont have any 128 manuals at Global. They didnt have any 1 series manuals at all while I was there a month back. I drove a 335 manual just to get a feel for the clutch.

Have you tried Roswell BMW and talked to the internet sales manager yet? I ordered my base 135 with discount and it will be here within the next 3 weeks. The economy is pretty soft and they will drop the price sooner or later.

Nally is giving me pretty good numbers, and they are repairing my mini that I'm trading in

unless they give me really bad trade in value on the mini I'm gonna order an alpine 135i from them

As long as you are getting a good amount off msrp (~$2500) then go for it.
