Swapping out rotors???

I am looking to swap out the stock rotrs for the nice vented / cross drilled performance ones. How hard is this to do? Can a DIY'er handle this job? On a scale from 1-10 how difficult is this? Thanks in advance. Any input is greatly appreciated.

If you can change a tire, you can change your rotors. Biggest problem is when you have the caliper off, DO NOT touch the brake pedal. If the pistons move while you have the caliper disconnected you will have a fun day with C-clamps.

When you have the caliper off, don't let them just hang on the brake line.

Yes zip ties or cut up an old coat hanger to hold the calipers.

slotted is meant for rallys...
and there is really no need for drilled anymore since the brake pads dont release gases of any type...

but for weight savings and looks the bmw rotors look nice

is it true they are part of the warranty too if you replace the stock ones?
