Their comments are hilarious.

Honestly, something seems off with the Dinan car. I'm guessing that the driver didn't have any track experience.

the dinan car ran slower than some magazine test cars, I hope their new N54 software is not as weak as their E46 M3 tuning was.

LOL, Dinan's software is probably more conservative than the factory setup!

Wow, that's slow. A stock car could do that. Poor Dinan owner :-( $2000 down the drain.

A bad driver doesn't create a 7+ mph difference in trapspeed under the same conditons unless they miss multiple shifts. Given the car was trapping at 105 all night long, I don't think that was the case. It seems to me that under these conditions the Dinan car was down at LEAST 50hp, comparitively.

LOL, I wouldnt doubt it. Dinan is always very conservative, but I do not feel this "test" is a good example. No one knows how true it was. It may not have even been dinan tuned, or a BMW at all.

How is this a flame war? Because people are talking bad about Dinan. There is no flame war here. When did you become a mod?

procede is a programable piggyback ECU. when you can go to the local dyno shop and get a protune its always going to be better than an off the shelf tune because the off the shelf tune has to provide a large ammount of redundant safty while with a protune you can find that point of detonation, dial it back a notch and run the car at its max potental. having a good deal of experiance with programable ecu's I can say that it is deffinatly supirior in power gains but you need to get it tuned properly in order to maintain safty

Trap speed is a valid way to compare the effective power of two cars, same night, same track. ET is more dependant on driver skill, but it's harder to REALLY screw up a trap speed. Take it with a 1 or 2mph grain of salt, and it can certainly be used to see if there's a significant difference in the power available.

Trojan, I don't think there's been any flaming that I've seen? Seems to be staying pretty impersonal.

That would pretty much put it back to stock. Maybe his dinan distributor / dealership flashed the wrong car? I'll bet there's some other guy driving around town with a free flash upgrade.

So, now people are wondering if Dinan's #'s are crap? I know the Procede cars are fast--I have seen one.
