Good tint shop in Lake County IL.

I am looking for a great tint shop in the Chicagoland area. I prefer more north but I will go to the city if needed. I am looking for a top quality Tint shop that specializes in tinting. I was told to get Ceramic so thats what I want.

I had a place in Lake Bluff called Shaded Days do my Acura TL-S and was guaranteed it wouldn't scratch, BUT it did. I then installed a top quality felt on all the rubber window seals and it continued to scratch.

Acura TL's are know to scratch tint, but how are BMW's with scratching problems? I don't know. Shaded Days does all the cars from Knauz BMW in Lake Bluff so I thought they should be great. But not for my Acura TL.

I really dont know any first hand. I did search on e90 post while researching a place to bring mine. The posts did mention shadded days. I have read that in a few different places so it sounds like a decent shop.

Im taking mine to Naperville down the street. I read on a few different boards from Corvette to Porsche about a certain person at an old ziebart that does fantastic work. So, I will check if that guy is there. It isnt always the place, but the people who actually work there. Good luck finding a tinting place.

Thanks shawshank772. I might just talk to Shadded Days again. I was just told Ceramic tint is the best. I don't think they use Ceramic. I will call them.

Anyone else have any recommendations? Umbra apparently doesn't stock ceramic tint.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a tint shop on the south side. Has anyone heard of

Midco Tinting
8600 S. Cicero
Burbank, IL

I did stumble upon this thread http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1499144 However it seems they carry metallic tint, Hi-Performance SunTek film. Is this film good quality? And does anyone know how much metallic tint affects gps, radar, or even cell phone signals? :iono: I'm just looking for someone close by that will do a good job and tint that will last for a number of years.
